Trip to the Lake

Today was full of new experiences. First there was my ride in a golf cart. Mom invited me and my siblings to go. We didn’t know where we were ‘go’ing, but we were excited to go. She invited me to jump onto the back seat and I did, though it was a very narrow bench. I jumped down and joined her in the front. Elvis and Penny sat next to Mom, but I was too big. I sat on the floor and off we went out of the garage.

After riding around on the street, she drove through our yard to a slope at the back of the property. Just as she started down the slope toward the lake, I was startled and jumped out as it felt like we were falling. She stopped the cart and we all continued on foot.

At the bottom of that slope was a wide pathway alongside the lake. Mom took me off leash and we all ran down the path. It was so much fun. We were able to run free and enjoy all we could see and smell.

I even found a bone hidden under a bush. It tasted so good but Mom wouldn’t let me eat it. Oh well. Maybe next time I’ll get to find and eat a bone.

After we finished our run, we loaded into the golf cart and went back home.

I hope I get to visit that pathway again soon.
