Humpty Dumpty

I had an embarrassing moment a few days ago. I’m so thankful that Mom didn’t have time to take a photo.

You see I like following Mom everywhere she goes. She doesn’t seem to mind so that way, I won’t miss a chance to be petted or go outside.

Well when Mom sits at her desk, there are limited places for me to lie near her. Penny and Elvis claim two beds across from Mom’s side of the desk. I’ve decided to use the only other bed just behind Mom. It’s small and in a cramped corner. Sometimes I have to circle three or four times before finding a semi-comfortable spot.

Late last week found me lying in the small, cramped corner waiting on Mom to take a break. When she finally got up, I stood up and raced after her when there was a loud racket. Apparently I had snagged a cord connected to the computer on Mom’s desk. I say that because Mom’s desktop, headphones, speakers, and UPS all fell to the floor.

I hung my head and waited for a scolding but she just sighed and patted my head after making sure I wasn’t hurt. Maybe it helped that nothing was actually broken. A few minutes later we were all back in the office working/relaxing again.
